  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup unsweetened plant-based milk such as soy or almond
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray or oil for air-fryer basket

Instructions

  • Cut the pressed tofu into 1-inch thick slices.
  • In a shallow bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • In another shallow bowl, whisk together plant-based milk and soy sauce.

  • Lightly spray or brush the air-fryer basket with cooking oil.
  • Arrange the breaded tofu slices in a single layer in the air-fryer basket, leaving some space between them to ensure even cooking.
  • Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes, flipping the tofu slices halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce, such as tonkatsu sauce or sweet chili sauce.
